  • February 2016 - MGS partners with United Way

    On February 12, over 50 MGS employees partnered with United Way and volunteered their time to help make close to 600 sandwiches for the Have A Heart sandwich making event that took place at MGS Mfg. Group. The sandwiches were delivered by reps from the United Way to support four local agencies: La Casa de Esperanza, The Women’s Center of Waukesha, the Salvation Army of Waukesha, and Hebron Houses of Hospitality.

  • January 2016 - MSOE Students visit MGS

    On Friday, January 15, a group of 47 engineering students from MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering) visited MGS to take a tour of our manufacturing facilities.


    MSOE instructor Dennis Tronca of the Mechanical Engineering Department extended his gratitude after the tour: “I would like to thank MGS and your enthusiastic crew for conducting a spectacular tour for our Designing with Plastics class. This is truly the highlight of the school quarter for many of the students who have never seen a world class injection molding/assembly operation.”


    This event marks one of the largest student tours ever conducted at MGS.

  • May 2015 - MGS Libertyville receives award

    Congratulations to the MGS Libertyville team for receiving the 2014 ITW Paslode Exceptional Supplier Award! The award was presented to MGS Libertyville Plant Manager Steve Paul by ITW representatives on May 7, 2015.


    Paslode presents this award each calendar year to its highest performing suppliers in the fields of product quality and on-time delivery. This marks the fifth consecutive year that MGS has achieved this award from Paslode, and its eighth award overall since 2003!

  • March 2015 - MGS opens new distribution center

    MGS is pleased to announce the opening of its new state-of-the-art distribution center!


    Located in Oak Creek at the Capstone Business Center at Creekside, the distribution facility is 50,000 square feet and has 3,700 rack locations. The warehouse has been retrofitted with the most sophisticated racking and material handling equipment, making our operations and material handling systems more efficient than ever before.


    Oak Creek was specifically selected as the site for the new distribution center because of its central location between the MGS Germantown, Antioch and Libertyville facilities. A dedicated trucking firm will make multiple daily runs to shuttle raw materials and finished goods to each of the Wisconsin and Illinois locations.

  • January 2015 - MGS Invests in new equipment

    MGS recently made substantial investments in new and upgraded equipment for its Germantown and Menomonee Falls tool shops.


    The Germantown shop replaced four of its Okamoto dry surface grinders with one new Chevalier and three new Okamoto dry grinders. The shop also purchased a Chevalier column grinder, the first column grinder for the MGS tool shop. The tooling group selected the Chevalier model - a new brand for MGS - because it offers bigger plate size capacity (24 inches versus 16 inches on other models). This provides more flexibility in the jobs we can manage in-house. Additionally, the shop replaced a 12x24 Okamoto wet grinder with a 16x32 wet grinder of the same brand.

  • June 2014 - MGS Receives Exceptional Supplier Award

    Congratulations to the team at MGS Libertyville for receiving the 2013 ITW Paslode Exceptional Supplier Award! The award was presented by ITW to MGS Liberyville Plant Manager Steve Paul on May 29, 2014.


    Paslode presents this award each calendar year to its highest performing suppliers in the fields of product quality and on-time delivery. This is the fourth consecutive year that MGS has achieved this award from Paslode, and its seventh award overall since 2003.

  • May 2014 - MGS Builds New Quality Lab

    MGS Mfg. Group completed the construction of its new quality assurance lab at the MGS Germantown molding facility.


    The impressive two-story lab is 5,000 square feet in size and has floor-to-ceiling windows. The upper level holds office modules and private office space for all QA staff, along with a conference room to provide a convenient meeting space.

  • April 2014 - MGS Purchases Hospira Molding Facility

    MGS Mfg. Group, headquartered in Germantown, Wisconsin, announced it has purchased Hospira’s Buffalo, New York injection molding facility.


    The formal declaration was made to facility employees on Monday, April 14, 2014 by members of Hospira and MGS management teams. The transaction is scheduled to close at the end of June this year. Financial terms were not disclosed.

  • April 2014 - MGS Rebrands Molding Operations

    In an effort to further strengthen its company brand and to facilitate the ability to cohesively present its services and technologies, MGS Mfg. Group, Inc. is formally renaming its molding operations. Previously known as TecStar Mfg. Company, the name will be changed to MGS Group North America, Inc. on April 1, 2014.
