Internship Opportunities
Your MGS Mfg. Group Internship experience will allow you to apply lessons and theories, which you are learning at your respected university or college, to our fast paced, cutting edge technologies. During your internship you will have the opportunity to work with leading professionals from the engineering, design, tooling, plastics and marketing fields. These professionals will serve as your internship mentors and assist you as you embark on one of the greatest educational journeys of your life.
You can expect challenging work experiences every day as you contribute to activities that are critical to MGS and the success of customer programs which include: mold design, product design, mechanical engineering, plastics processing, mold manufacture, program management, automation and customer service. Interns will also be expected to think critically and creatively, work independently from mentors, adapt to both rapid and major changes and communicate in the most effective manner.

Student Intern Program
MGS Mfg. Group Internships may begin after two years of your university / college attendance or one year of technical college attendance. Our program’s flexibility permits many of our interns to work around their class schedules. You are expected to maintain your commitment to educational performance. A summer internship usually lasts ten to twelve weeks and many of our summer interns return for more challenging work assignments.
Your Gain
As an intern you will be well compensated for your efforts and be eligible for many of the benefits offered to our full-time employees. Most benefits are explained in your first company visit. Relocation funding may be available if it is determined that you qualify for assistance.
Types of Projects
Of Fortune Magazine’s "Fortune 500", over fifty of the listed companies are customers of the MGS Mfg. Group. Markets include: automotive, wireless communications, healthcare, appliance, industrial, electronic/computer, etc. You can work side-by-side with our experts and network with our customer’s engineers, designers and program managers.
Internship Program Directors
The MGS Mfg. Group Internship Committee is responsible for:
Reviewing, modifying and improving the policies and processes regarding
the student intern program
Determining talent needs for specific program areas
Insure that the individual participants receive appropriate opportunities
and support to succeed
Determine if a student intern is qualified to be offered a full-time position
or apprenticeship

Internship Applications
To apply you must first meet our requirements:
2.8 / 4.0 grade point average
Completion of two years of full time education from a four-year institution
or one year from a full time education technical institution (Students in
tool making or tool design can apply prior to or during their first year
of school).
